The Rapides Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees has elected its officers for 2016.

Haywood Joiner Jr., Ed.D, will serve as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Jonathan Hunter will serve as vice-chairman. Jason Cobb, Rapides Regional Medical Center’s chief executive officer serves as secretary, and T. Mack Granger, M.D., Rapides Regional’s Chief of Staff, serves as ex-officio member.

Newly appointed members of the Board are Deborah Randolph, Stuart Head, M.D., Anil Danivas, M.D., and Naseem Jaffrani, M.D.

Each member of the Board of Trustees is chosen for their dedication to the medical center in its mission, as well as for their ability to represent the medical profession and the community.

The Board of Trustees for 2016 includes: Rich Dupree of the City of Pineville; oncologist Howard Wold, M.D., of Hematology, Oncology Life Center; Sherry Ellington of the Alexandria/Pineville Convention and Visitor’s Bureau; Robin Hooter, Rapides Parish Clerk of Court; Daniel Williams, City of Alexandria; Haywood Joiner Jr., chair of the department of Allied Health at LSU-Alexandria; Bryon Salazar, executive vice president of Red River Bank; family practice physician Jonathan Hunter, M.D.; surgeon David McCoy, M.D.; and Jason Cobb, RRMC CEO.
