Visiting Hours/Quiet Time
Visiting hours for patient rooms are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
NICU Visiting hours: Visitation in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit is restricted to parents and grandparents. Only two people allowed per infant at a time. Times are 8 a.m.-12 p.m., 2-6 p.m., 8 p.m. - 12 a.m. and 2-6 a.m. Specific screening forms are filled out daily prior to visitation being permitted.
PICU Visiting Hours: Parents are typically allowed at bedside around the clock. Additional loved ones are allowed a 30 minute visit at 9 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Labor and Delivery Visiting Hours: L&D allows up to three visitors, with some conditions requiring further limitations. Visitors should be 14 years old or older. Siblings of anticipated newborns younger than 14 may visit for brief periods.
Quiet Time throughout our campus is observed from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Please check in with the nurses’ station during this time.
Our facility is locked between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. After hours visitors may enter through the after-hours Labor and Delivery entrance at Rapides Women’s and Children’s Hospital located on Medical Center Drive.
