Rapides Regional Medical Center will be sending its 2013 “Seasons Greetings” with the help of this year’s Holiday Art Contest winner.
The annual contest is open to students at Rapides Regional Medical Center’s Partners in Education school, Phoenix Magnet Elementary. Participants were asked to design a piece of artwork with a holiday theme.
Winners receive $100, $75 and $50 gift cards for first, second and third place, respectively.
Zoe Nichols, 10, was the first place winner. Zoe’s drawing featured a festively-decorated Christmas tree and wreath.
Hettie Morris, 9, was the second place winner. Her drawing featured a Louisiana-themed Christmas scene complete with an alligator and pelican.
India E. Eiland, 11, is the third place winner. India’s design featured a Christmas wreath.
Zoe’s artwork will be featured on Rapides Regional Medical Center’s 2013 holiday greeting cards. Prizes will be distributed to the Phoenix students during the school’s holiday assembly.
Select artwork submitted by Phoenix students will be on display at Rapides Women’s and Children’s Hospital through December.
