Rapides Regional Medical Center now offers the American Lung Association’s “Better Breathers Club” for patients with chronic lung disease.

The group will hold its first meeting on Thursday, Nov. 17, at noon in Rapides Regional Medical Center’s Cardiac Rehab department. Lunch will be provided.

“Since Rapides Regional Medical Center began its Pulmonary Rehab earlier this year, we felt that a partnership with the American Lung Association made sense,” said Ty Eicemann, BSRRT, pulmonary coordinator. “These meetings will give our patients a chance to meet others who deal with the same challenges – and get the latest information they need to better manage chronic lung disease.”

This is the only Better Breather’s Club in Central Louisiana. The group will meet on the third Thursday of each month and feature a different guest speaker and topic each month. Participants will also have an opportunity to ask questions pertaining to their specific needs.
