Alexandria, LA - Rapides Regional Medical Center is ready for the holiday season, with lights adorning trees and entrances, along with bows, wreaths and toy soldiers standing guard.
The Alexandria Garden Club took notice and recognized Rapides Regional Medical Center as the winner of its “Civic Beautification Award” for December 2022.
“Just approaching any entrance puts one in the Christmas Spirit,” the note accompanying the award states. “Their mission is healing. And seeing all the festive decorations cannot fail to cheer one up! From the gorgeous fall trees, berry-bearing hollies and a plethora of pansies, RRMC is the west anchor of downtown's winter scene!”
The Civic Beautification Award is presented to businesses in Alexandria/Pineville with attractive, well-maintained landscaping. The Alexandria Garden Club was organized in 1925 and incorporated in 1927 and became part of National Garden Clubs, Inc., in 1934.
“We are happy to receive the December 2022 award from The Alexandria Garden Club as we have devoted extra time and planning into our holiday decorations this year,” said Jason E. Cobb, Chief Executive Officer. “No one wants to be in the hospital during the holidays. It's our hope that these added touches will bring a little joy to everyone who comes visits Rapides Regional Medical Center during this time of year.”
