Safety and Security

For the safety of our patients, Rapides Women’s and Children asks that all visitors check in with the security officer located at the information desk in the Atrium lobby. You will be asked to present a valid photo ID, have your photo taken and provide the room number you will be visiting.  You may access the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor patient rooms by using the RWCH elevators. During your visit, you will be asked to wear a visitor ID tag and to check out with the security officer when your visit is over.

Security personnel are available to escort visitors after-hours to their vehicles. To request an escort, please call Security, ext. 5063, or call the operator at “0.” Please allow 5-10 minutes for their arrival.
