ALEXANDRIA, La., Feb. 10, 2012 – Rapides Regional Medical Center is making it easier than ever for patients to be better prepared for upcoming procedures.
Rapides Regional now offers Online Pre-Registration for patients who already have a procedure or mammogram scheduled – or for expectant women who want to pre-register for their baby’s delivery.
Today’s consumers have come to expect quick and easy, personalized business encounters —from online banking to booking a hotel or airline tickets. With Online Pre-Registration, Rapides Regional is providing healthcare options to its patients with the level of service and choice they expect. By improving the pre-registration process in this way, Rapides’ patients have increased control of their healthcare experience and greater flexibility in the pre-registration process.
“If you take advantage of our online pre-registration, we will be able to ‘fast-track’ you through the registration process,” said Denise Moss, Patient Access Director at Rapides Regional Medical Center. “That means lower wait and registration times for your outpatient procedures.”
Those who may pre-register include:

  • Patients with a procedure already scheduled can pre-register 48 hours before the procedure
  • OB patients who would like to pre-register for Labor and Delivery
  • Patients who have a scheduled mammogram.

If a patient is eligible to pre-register online, all they have to do is go to rapidesregional.com, and look for the Online Pre-Registration button. Once they click on the button, they simply follow the instructions. Most patients are able to complete the online pre-registration process in less than 10 minutes.
Patients may still register in person on the day of their procedure if they choose not to pre-register online.
Those who register online will save time – since pre-registration simplifies the registration process upon arrival, and also minimizes the potential for information errors.
